Once upon a time… In the middle of the vast seas, an old but proud ship called the Silver Sail sailed. The captain of this ship was Captain Arven , a pirate with a stern gaze but a heart as pure as a child’s . What set him apart from other pirates was neither his sword nor his ship; his most valuable treasure was the golden compass he inherited from his father . This compass showed not only direction but also the right path.
One night, the sea was darker than ever. The sky was filled with angry clouds, and the waves tossed the ship around like a nutshell. In the midst of the storm, Captain Arven realized he had dropped his compass from his belt. The golden compass was buried in the depths of the dark sea.
When the storm subsided, the sea calmed, but the captain’s heart remained turbulent. Without a compass, the ship lost its way and drifted into unknown waters. The crew was frightened:
“Can there be a pirate without a compass, captain?” they asked.
Arven bowed his head, but then a light flickered in his eyes:
“Perhaps there is no compass… but the stars are still there.”
They traveled by night, gazing at the sky. During the day, they listened to the sound of the sea. One morning, a colorful island appeared from the mist. This island was the Whispering Island , not on any maps . When they set foot on the island, the wind blew through the trees as if speaking:
“You are not searching for what you have lost in the sea, but within yourself.”
Arven walked inland on the island. There she met an old sea turtle. The turtle spoke softly:
“Your compass guided you because you trusted it. Now you must learn to trust yourself.”
Captain Arven understood at that moment. Her father’s compass had actually taught her courage, but the source of that courage wasn’t the compass; it was her own heart .
When they left the island, the ship no longer got lost. Arven sailed by feeling the wind, reading the stars, and trusting her crew. Days later, the golden compass appeared, shining in a fishing net. But Arven put it in her pocket, not on her belt.
Because now he knew:
The true compass was the courage to find the truth within oneself.
And the seas whispered the name of the pirate who lost his compass but found his way for many years…
