In a faraway sea, there was a hidden place surrounded by coral reefs.
It was called the Garden of the Sirens . In this garden lived the sirens, who spoke with the fish and kept the sea clean.
Lina was the garden’s youngest siren . Lina was very curious, but also very impatient.
Every night she would look up at the sky and ask the moon:
“Why doesn’t the moon sometimes talk?”
Because the moon was very quiet that night. It neither shone as brightly as before, nor did it illuminate the sea.
One morning, the sea began to darken. The fish couldn’t find their way, and the seashells didn’t shine as brightly as before. Tomo
the wise turtle gathered the sirens and said:
“The moon is sad. Nobody listens to her.”
Lina was surprised:
“But the Moon never talks!”
Tomo smiled:
“You don’t always need sound to listen.”
When Lina heard this, she decided to help the Moon. Every night, she swam to the calmest corner of the sea and looked at the Moon without speaking.
Just with patience and silence …
Days passed. Lina waited, taking no time.
And one night, the moon shone a little brighter
Even more so the following night…
Finally, the Moon whispered:
“Thank you, Lina. For listening so quietly.”
The moon shone brightly once more, the sea was illuminated, and the fish swam joyfully
The Siren Garden had regained its former beauty.
Lina learned this from that day on:
Patience, silence, and attentive listening are the most powerful magic.
And in the Garden of the Sirens, the children were always given this advice:
“Sometimes the most beautiful words are hidden in silence.”
