Once upon a time, in a lush green forest where the birds never stopped chirping, there lived a little rabbit named Cotton . Cotton wasn’t a very fast runner, but he was a very clever and observant rabbit.

The animals living in the forest lived peacefully until one day two hunters arrived. The hunters spoke loudly, set traps in the trees, and frightened the animals. Seeing this, Pamuk thought she had to do something to protect her friends.

While wandering deep in the forest, Pamuk spotted a shimmering pond. An idea immediately struck him. He approached the hunters and deliberately left footprints leading to the pond. Then he hid behind a rock.

The hunters were delighted when they saw the footprints:
“Those are rabbit tracks! We’ll catch one this time!” they said.

The hunters, following the tracks, arrived at the edge of the pond. They thought the rabbit had jumped into the water. They waited around the pond for a long time, but neither Pamuk nor any other animal appeared.

Meanwhile, Pamuk ran through another path in the forest to warn the animals:
“The hunters are by the pond! Hide, all of you!”

All the animals had hidden in safe places. After waiting for hours, the hunters grew tired and,
saying, “There are no animals left in this forest!”, they left the forest.

After the hunters left, the animals gathered around Pamuk. The little squirrel
said, “You are so brave and clever!”

Pamuk smiled and said,
“Being fast isn’t important. Thinking and protecting others is more important.”

From that day on, everyone in the forest knew that:
Wisdom is more valuable than strength.

The Lesson from the Fairy Tale:

  • Intelligence and attention to detail enable us to find solutions in difficult situations.
  • Courage is not just about being strong.
  • Helping and considering others is very valuable.
