Once upon a time, in a peaceful village surrounded by whispering forests and sparkling streams, there lived a tiny creature named Tiko. Tiko was no bigger than a teacup, with bright green eyes and a giggle that sounded like chiming bells. But Tiko had one little problem—he loved playing tricks a bit too much.

Every morning, the villagers would wake up to strange surprises. Shoes would be tied together, milk would turn slightly salty, and hats would mysteriously disappear—only to reappear in the most unusual places! The villagers were puzzled, but they never suspected little Tiko, who hid behind flowers and laughed quietly.

At first, Tiko thought his tricks were harmless fun. “It makes life exciting!” he would say, spinning in the air. But one day, something different happened.

Old Mrs. Lera, the kindest woman in the village, tripped because her walking stick had been hidden. She didn’t get hurt badly, but she looked sad and whispered, “I wish whoever is doing this would understand how it makes others feel.”

Tiko, hiding nearby, heard her words. For the first time, his giggle faded. He watched as Mrs. Lera slowly picked herself up, her hands trembling. A strange feeling filled Tiko’s heart—something he had never felt before.

“Did I cause that?” he wondered.

That night, Tiko couldn’t sleep. The moonlight felt colder, and the forest was quiet. He thought about all the tricks he had played. “I only wanted to have fun… but maybe I forgot about others.”

The next morning, something new happened in the village.

Shoes were neatly placed at every doorstep. Fresh milk tasted sweeter than ever. Lost hats were returned, cleaned and folded. And beside Mrs. Lera’s door, her walking stick stood polished, with a small flower tied to it.

The villagers were amazed. “Who could be so kind?” they asked.

From behind a bush, Tiko smiled—but this time, it was a gentle, warm smile.

From that day on, Tiko still played—but not tricks that hurt or confused others. Instead, he became a tiny helper. He would fix broken things, guide lost animals home, and leave little surprises that made people smile.

And whenever he felt the urge to play a trick, he would pause and ask himself,
“Will this bring joy—or trouble?”

Because Tiko had learned something very important:

True fun is when everyone can smile together.
