Part I – The Tower in the Silent Valley
In a faraway land, there was a Silent Valley , not even mentioned on maps . The mountains surrounding this valley were so high that even the wind had difficulty penetrating. In the very center of the valley rose a windowless tower built of grey stones, a place no one dared approach .
The young girl who lived in this tower was named Rapunzel .
Rapunzel lived in the only room at the top of the tower. The door was very high up, with no stairs. The only way to enter the room was through Rapunzel’s long , golden hair that reached the floor . But this hair was not just a passage, it was also a secret.
Rapunzel had been in this tower since the day she was born. She had never seen the outside world. She only knew the sky through a small opening and the earth only in her dreams. The only person who could tell her about the world was Morvena , the woman who raised her .
Morvena called herself a “guardian,” but everyone in the valley knew her as a dark sorceress .
Part II – A Stolen Baby
Years ago, in a small village on the edge of the valley, there lived a poor but happy couple. They had been childless for a long time. One spring night, when an unusual star shone in the sky, the woman went into labor.
The baby born that night had hair as bright as moonlight.
But Morvena was there that same night.
Morvena had feared aging for years. The spells she used to preserve her youth no longer worked. According to an ancient prophecy, **“A golden-haired child, born with a pure heart, slows down time with their song.”**
When Morvena saw the baby, she knew the prophecy had come true.
And she stole the baby.
He left his parents only these words:
“Don’t ask me about him. If he lives, the world will change.”
Part III – The Power of Song
As Rapunzel grew older, she began to realize she was different. Whenever she was sad or wished for something with hope, she would unconsciously begin to sing . These songs would make the stones of the tower tremble, make the flowers in the valley bloom, and sometimes even slow down time.
Morvena was aware of this.
That’s why he always told Rapunzel:
“Singing is dangerous. The outside world will use you.”
Rapunzel was obedient but curious. At night, while gazing at the stars, she always pondered the same question:
“If the world is so bad, why does my heart long for the outside world?”
Chapter IV – The Traveling Painter
One day, a young traveler named Aren arrived in the Silent Valley. Aren was not a warrior, nor a prince. He was a painter . He traveled the world and painted the places he saw.
As he walked through the valley, he heard a song coming from the top of the tower .
This song caused Aren to drop the brush he was holding.
The song was sad, but full of hope. Aren walked towards the source of the sound. Towards the tower that no one else approached…
Chapter V – First Contact
When Aren reached the tower, he looked up and called out:
“Is anyone there?”
Rapunzel recoiled. For the first time in her life, she heard a voice other than Morvena’s.
“Yes… I’m here.”
Aren smiled.
“Your voice is the most beautiful thing in the world.”
Rapunzel smiled shyly for the first time .
Morvena watched this conversation from a distance. Her anger flared up, but she waited. Because the prophecy would be fulfilled not only with the hair, but also with the choice .
Chapter VI – The Mirror of Truth
Aren began coming to the tower every day. Rapunzel sang songs to him, and Aren described pictures to her—mountains, seas, marketplaces…
For the first time, Rapunzel’s heart felt something bigger than the walls of the tower.
One day Aren asked her:
“Have you ever looked in the mirror?”
Rapunzel was surprised.
“No.”
The next day, Aren brought a small mirror and tied it to Rapunzel’s hair. For the first time, Rapunzel saw herself .
And at that moment, the song changed.
Now his song was about freedom.
Chapter VII – Morvena’s Mask
Morvena realized she could no longer hide the truth. She told Rapunzel everything, but embellished the story to her own liking…
“I saved your family.”
“The world wants to destroy you.”
“You couldn’t live without me.”
Rapunzel cried.
But her heart told her something else.
Chapter VIII – The Broken Spell
Rapunzel sang at the top of the tower that night. This time, she chose the truth , not her fear .
The song was so powerful that Morvena’s spells were broken. The tower cracked. The stones fell to the ground. Her hair was no longer a chain, but like wings .
Aren climbed up, but Rapunzel didn’t wait for him.
It landed on its own for the first time .
Chapter IX – A New Path
Morvena grew old, her strength faded. Rapunzel didn’t turn her back on her, but she refused to be her chains.
She found her parents.
She saw the world.
She sang her songs to give people hope.
He and Aren shared the roads , not the tower .
The End – Freedom from Golden Hair
Rapunzel’s hair was still golden.
But no one was holding it anymore.
And the Silent Valley was never silent again.
