Once upon a time, there lived a curious girl on the edge of the Moonlight Forest. Her name was Luna . Luna didn’t like to sleep much at night; she would follow the moonlight seeping through her window, walking silently deep into the forest. Because there was a secret in the forest that no one believed: Trees could talk.
One night, under a full moon brighter than ever, Luna entered the forest. A soft whisper rose from the leaves:
“Welcome, Daughter of the Moon…”
Luna looked around in surprise. The whisper was coming from Kökbeş , the oldest tree in the forest . A huge plane tree with a thick trunk and branches reaching into the sky.
“Are you really talking?” Luna asked, holding her breath.
Kökbeş replied with a smiling tone:
“We talked all the time, Luna. It just took an ear that wanted to hear.”
At that very moment, the other trees also vibrated with life: the slender poplars hummed, the pines hummed with deep breaths.
But something was wrong in the forest. Kökbeş told Luna his troubles:
“The Dark Mist is approaching. If we don’t stop it, the entire forest will fall into silence.”
Luna was confused.
“So what can I do?”
Kökbeş pointed to the moonlight with the tip of his branch:
“You have a heart sensitive to the light of the moon. Only you can awaken the Moonlight Seed.”
The Moonlight Seed was hidden within a small stone in the heart of the forest. Luna mustered her courage and walked into the darkest part of the forest. The Dark Mist slithered around her like a snake. But Luna opened her palms to the moonlight. The light seemed to flow into her hands, gathering and glowing.
The moment she touched the stone, a silvery seed emerged from it. Luna placed the seed in the soil and touched it with her light. In an instant, the earth split open, and a dazzling Moonflower rose from within. As the flower bloomed, the forest illuminated; the Dark Mist dispersed and vanished.
The trees shook their branches with joy:
“We lived! Luna saved us!”
Kökbeş gave Luna a thank-you gift: a small leaf. But this was no ordinary leaf—it shone like gold and said, “Our hero,” in a voice only Luna could hear.
From that day on, Luna visited the forest every full moon. The Talking Trees became her closest friends, and Moonflower became the light of the forest.
And so, thanks to Luna’s courage, the Moonlight Forest lived on forever with whispers, songs, and light.
The tale ends here, the courage of Luna, the daughter of the Moon, is talked about.
