Once upon a time… there was a small, charming farm nestled among green hills and daisy-scented meadows. On this farm lived three pig brothers with their mother: Fluffy , Tiny , and Bouncing .
Pofuduk was the eldest. He liked to think and plan.
Minik was the middle sibling. He was curious and eager to learn.
Zıpzıp was the youngest. He was very energetic but a little impatient.
One morning, the mother pig called her piglets to her:
“You’re growing up now,” he said. “To succeed in life, you need to be hardworking, patient, and honest. Today, each of you will try to build your own little hut.”
The brothers eagerly got to work.
Zıpzıp’s Hasty Plan
Jumping immediately ran to the meadow. “I’ll finish it the fastest!” he thought. He gathered the dry grass he found and built a tiny hut. He finished the job in a very short time.
But the hut was a bit crooked…
And it didn’t look very sturdy…
Zıpzıp didn’t care: “The important thing is to be fast!” he said.
Minik’s Thoughtful Effort
Minik had thought a little more. He gathered some thin branches from the forest. He placed and tied the branches one by one. His hut was sturdier than Zıpzıp’s, but it was still a little loose.
“I think it wasn’t bad,” he said proudly.
Pofuduk’s Patient Effort
Pofuduk, however, didn’t rush. First, he leveled the ground. Then he gathered stones and mud bricks. He worked all day. He was tired, but he didn’t give up.
When evening came, his hut was more solid and tidy than the others.
The siblings looked into each other’s houses. Zıpzıp seemed a little thoughtful.
Big Rain
That night the sky darkened. The wind began to blow. Then a heavy rain started.
The wind first hit Zıpzıp’s hut. The grass was scattered, and the hut collapsed!
Jumpy screamed in fear and ran to Minik’s house.
But as the wind picked up, Minik’s branches began to sway. After a while, his hut collapsed.
The two siblings took refuge in Pofuduk’s house, covered in mud.
Pofuduk opened the door and let her siblings in.
The stone house remained standing. The rain had stopped, the wind had died down.
Lesson Learned
Zıpzıp bowed his head:
“I wish I hadn’t rushed,” he said.
Minik added:
“I should have made it a little more robust.”
Fluffy smiled:
“Being fast is good, but being patient is even better. The things we work for protect us.”
The next day, the three siblings worked together and built a sturdier house. This time, Zıpzıp was patient, and Minik was more careful.
And from that day on, the brothers never forgot this:
Hard work, patience, and teamwork are the greatest sources of confidence.
They lived happily ever after.
