Fluffy Cloud, the softest cloud in the sky, loved waking up with the morning sun. It was white as cotton, round, and cheerful. But it had one little problem…
Fluffy had to go wherever the wind took him. That’s why he sometimes felt powerless.
One night, the sky was brighter than usual. When Fluffy looked up, she saw a small but dazzling star. This star was different from the others. It emitted a blue light.
“Hello!” said the star in a sweet voice.
“I’m the Blue Star. Why are you so distracted?”
Fluffy sighed.
“I can’t control anything. I go wherever the wind takes me. I wish I could choose my own direction.”
The Blue Star shone with a soft glow.
“I can never leave the sky either,” it said. “But you know what? We all have a purpose.”
“What is my job?” Fluffy asked curiously.
Just then, a child’s voice rose from the village below:
“Mom, when will it rain? The flowers in the garden are thirsty.”
Fluffy looked down. Indeed, the flowers had drooped their heads.
Blue Star smiled.
“Here’s your job! You carry the rain. You make the flowers grow, you water the rivers, you let the children see rainbows.”
Fluffy hadn’t thought about this until that moment. Slowly, she released the tiny water droplets inside her. Pat pat pat… It started to rain.
The flowers lifted their heads. The children looked out the window and rejoiced. After a while, the sun came out and a colorful rainbow appeared in the sky.
“Did I do this?” Fluffy asked in astonishment.
“Yes,” said Blue Star. “Everyone has a different strength. The important thing is to recognize it.”
Fluffy was no longer afraid of the wind. Because she knew that wherever she went, she would surely bring joy to a flower somewhere.
From that day on, every raindrop brought a little joy, and every rainbow filled Fluffy with pride.
And the Blue Star would wink at her every night, reminding her of this:
“True power is using what you have to benefit others.”
